Congrats to my friend Roddy Valente who pulled off the impossible in the Saratoga Dew Stakes today. It\'s loud and the Stoli is flowing at Siro\'s right now for sure.
The 8 hole out at 1 1/8 on the main track was 0/20 this year; one of the Capital OTB talking heads said this morning that only 1 horse since 2009 has won from 8 or further out at the distance.
If you ever read a thorn graph sheet or even sipped a drop of kool aide you could not have bet Hot Stones today. I saw Roddy early on today and he is a long time Rags user well over 20 years, he will often ask me how T-graph has his horse or who do I like with him. I shook my head and simply said tough draw and good luck, he replied with Jonny is going to go like hell from the break and hope for the best.
For any sheet novices pull this race from the red board room and look at it tomorrow. There were 4 or 5 horses who could run a 6, the one was a solid 4, had the rail and was getting almost a point in weight from Hot Stones in the 9 hole who projected to run a 3 and had a back 2. Johnny V out there at a very suspect distance for the horse and spotting weight. Maggie\'s very comments were Hot Stones looked great but she had her doubts about her getting the distance.
It cost me the pick 4 as I did a running jump onto our band of crazy Kentuckians picnic table during the stretch run of the finale. Uncle Bill went home for a couple days and left me with the lunatic fringe so I joined with them today!
I had the 4,5.6.7 exacta, tri and super box in the last race today and finished 1,2, 4 in what would have been a 10K triple. Yes Cody\'s notes was on my pick 4 ticket and I left out the hottest jock on the planet ridding the favorite off my super ticket that only paid 21K. A little solace in the exacta but not enough times, never the less a 3rd straight day of turning a good profit.
Thank God tomorrow is Tuesday, 4 straight days of full tilt has me dizzy, I love it!!!

Speaking of Cody\'s Notes, the chart caller must have a thing for underdog jockeys. Check out this advertisement:
P.S. This NY trackman says more about 1 horse then we used to get about the whole field.
CODY\'S NOTES bobbled nearing the first turn, raced inside on that bend, was reserved towards the rear of the field, moved
closer while patiently ridden in the two path on the far turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, turned into the stretch in a
good position, angled out under a drive in the vicinity of the furlong marker, rallied under a left-handed whip and closed strongly to
win going away in a nice ride.

Boxed 4/5/7/9/11 in exacta (one horse too many, I know, but couldn\'t resist the convergence of some many sharpies honing in on this spot), tri and super.
Given what the tri and super paid WITH Irad, imagine what it would have been without him.
Read the Footnotes going nine panels . . . bah.
