Title: Saratoga Seminars
Post by: TGJB on July 20, 2015, 12:14:01 PM
We\'ll be sending out an email, but they\'re going to be on the second floor of the Carousel, near where the Maitre D is. Supposedly you can\'t hear the speakers much there, which is a plus. It\'s part of the Clubhouse, meaning you have to pay for the Clubhouse, not much we can do about it.

I\'m doing weekends one and three, Alan is doing the second one, we\'ll see after that. We start every Saturday and Sunday at 10:40, except earlier Travers day.

Great . . . but this begs the question . . . does this arrangement permit all-day privileges in the vicinity, or no?

Unless you have 66th sense about how races will unfold over off going up there, precip definitely puts a damper on The August Place To Be.

Unlikely we can hold the area, unless we pay for the tables. I bought reserved seats for every weekend, never did that before, when we had Steve\'s deck.

My problem in the past has been being unable to hear Jerry, so hopefully the lack of speaker interference will help.  But Jerry needs to speak up, or we could have Frank D. standing next to him holding up fingers to correspond with the number of the horse selected!  Kinda like those sign language interpreters!

I can\'t help but envision Garrett Morris standing beside Jerry......\"Our top story tonight\"............

Doc,

If I\'m standing next to JB it\'s in line at Siro\'s to get to the vodka before it runs out.

I have grabbed seats for Travers and Jim Dandy as well anticipating our eviction. I\'ll be lawn chairing it most days in the area of our old deck between the big screen and the bank of tv\'s on the tree. Rocky, Sean, et all our weekend regulars grab a chair to throw in the car when you come on down.

See you at the Spaaaaaaaaaa,

Frank D.

You mean right where the new HOF is...

Any time anyone can\'t hear me or I\'m not loud enough, ask questions. But according to Steve it shouldn\'t be an issue where we\'ll be now.

No, hall of shame is where the wood pizza place was, right at the end of the artists row as you walk in from the main gate. Our deck has been replaced with a new bigger version with a roof, they built 3-4 others as well, no one seems to know their use?

I have pics but cannot upload them to your site? I pm nicely nicely asking for help, the URL or cut and paste options won\'t work unless from an established website. I can understand the reasoning for that,

The board is not configured to accept pictures for security reasons.
If you email them to me, I can probably put them in the cloud and put a direct link to them on here
Email them to help@thorograph.com

You should come up with T-shirts, too.  Have a pocket in front for pens, tickets, etc., and a small T-G logo on the pocket, and on the back it can say something like \"Thoro-Graph: meeting all your handicapping needs for ___ years.\"  Throw in nice track graphics.  I could post a nice design here if you let us post pictures, but I understand, with this crew, you\'re afraid people would start posting porn.

Or maybe T-G golf shirts.  With a pocket.  You just can\'t make them look like a billboard on the back.

I\'m an idea guy.  I have a few more about hors d\'oeuvres and crudités (that\'s not the porn stuff I was talking about above) you could serve at the seminar now that we\'re moving upscale to the clubhouse.

Especially with lousy Sunday weather projection, doubt I\'ll make it up for any actual race days this week . . . try hard not to rush the season . . . it\'s definitely not a sprint, but a marathon . .  doesn\'t mean I won\'t be watching, from afar.

Roger, you\'re either in a very good mood or a very bad one.

We actually have new hats, heavier, I\'ll try to remember to bring some but we\'ll make sure Bill has them throughout the meet.

I actually have a nice TheSheets shirt that Hardoon gave me a ways back. Secretariat\'s sheet (not hand written, alas) was on the back.

Is it true they had him going backwards into the Belmont?

That was just a highballing opening salvo for swag.  Settling for a hat upgrade was always my end game.
