Title: Miss Temple City
Post by: phil23 on June 15, 2015, 01:28:03 PM
She is best priced 66:1 (50:1 generally) for her Ascot race (1 mile vs 3yo fillies). Top is a 6.50 off the Pimlico race (and if it has not been mentioned a huge thank you to Jerry and Alan and TG for publishing the TC full card figs...this really is a massive bonus akin to the free end of the year week that is much appreciated...also I notice a certain other place most certainly does not do this...gee...I wonder why...). The fig is likely still perhaps two points shy of what usually would need to take this thing down but her pattern is progressive (never gone back) and that little move forward in her last kind of looks like she could be ready for a truly big move explosion right here. Also she doesn\'t use lasix so lack of it over there not a hinderance.

Still...she is at least a couple of points slow (hard to know exactly given time form figs) and the competition is really tough for this.

Question - do we think Motion would ship all the way over there just to avoid Lady Eli but without a real hope of thinking they can cross the line 1st? Or is this one a serious player? At the price (50\'s generally, 66\'s a few spots) I cannot help but give her a try.  Tried this same idea with Rosalind last year (who was a lot faster at that point and also didn\'t use lasix) and of course, well...we know how that turned out.

At those odds, there is no reason not to put a wager on her.  What do you have to lose?  But she is in quite deep and there are many Euro fillies in there with superior form.  The plus is that the course is quite firm at the moment and should help her.  But you have Ervedya, Lucida, Found, Irish Rookie, Yasmeen, Arabian Queen and Osaila all have better form in my opinion.  Good luck!

She ran a strong race.  Nice job by Motion.

Soumillon\'s ride on the winner was a classic. Nailed Ryan Moore at the wire.

Got a little excited midway through the stretch - Oh well, at least an improvement over last year since the rider was, you know, actually still on top of the horse at the race\'s end.
