Post by: ROBERT49 on June 05, 2015, 05:20:14 AM
Any thoughts on the 2 dbls? on Fri in the TRUE NORTH I like the 2 SWD and the 8 RF, and in the BGC, going with the 9 MH. On Sat, Tonalist looks awesome. Thoughts?

A couple thoughts to consider.

Rockfall is going to around 3-2 and isn\'t faster than the others in the race and has beaten exactly one quality horse in his career (Delauney), who happened to stumble.

So this guy beats me.  You also picked the other guy who I plan to toss, so one of us could have a good race!  SWD tripped out last time and ran a pretty big top.  For some reason these Jacobsen \"move ups\" don\'t do as well on the big days, it seems to me.  (yes, I am implying something there).

I also don\'t like Dad\'s Caps.  Horse runs better at Aqueduct and while his last race seems to be good, boy did all the fast horses forget to show up that day.  And even so, he was sort of barely getting by Green Gratto. No thanks.

I am going to use a couple horses in multi-race bets.  I like the rail horse to fire big today.  I think he may set the pace here and a clean break and a \"send\" from Rosario could put him on the lead.  If so, his best has a very good shot here.  I am a little interested in Eastwood as well.  Sort of consistent and sort of a bit slow on the \"win end\", but I think a few fast ones may not fire today, and this guy seems to run his best at Belmont.  With a trip, he could be dangerous at 10-1 ML.  Finally, I am ambivalent about a horse that has hurt me as much as any, Clearly Now.  Last time out was a huge number, albeit a \"hang job\" late.  He is another whose best races are at Belmont but also gets bet WAY too much every time out.  At 4-1, he is Ok.  Lesser, he is an underlay because of the big figs in his back history line.

As for the BGH, tough to bet 2 mile races off figs.  Not many horses have figs at the distance.  Your longshot has a shot, but has to work out a trip.  The 1 is fast, has the rail, may be OK at the distance and from what I am hearing about the race, think he goes off a very fair price (over 5-1).  All wiseguys with an opinion like the 2, which I understand, off the visually impressive race last time and the \"new form\" since he has gone long.  If he would be 5-1, I would like him too, but I am guessing he goes off favored, at half that, which makes him shaky IMO.  have always HATED Unitarian, but he is good and proven at the distance.

Good luck

Rob

Purchase the seminar. Met Mile a tough race and way too tough to think that Tonalist \"looks awesome\" versus this group. Big number versus a weak field doesn\'t impress me.

I think Wicked Strong is set for a big effort. Dull in Florida but still plugged along. Sharper in NY and cuts back to a 1 turn mile with pace to run at (Private Zone drawn inside, no choice but for that one to be sent hard).

Good Luck,
Joe B.

in the Gold Cup/Belmont dd, I\'m going with Innovation Economy. gets a direct infusion of Secretariat blood through Gone West. 2nd dam is the dam of Cetewayo, a brilliant NY turf router. gets in light & should save ground all the way around. 9/5 is no good, but the doubles look good.

I played Verve with Innovation Economy.

struggling to find value in the Belmont.

Mub is taking a lot of cash.
