Title: The Easy Goer Stakes
Post by: Tavasco on June 01, 2015, 11:24:42 AM
The Easy Goer Stakes goes on the Belmont under card this coming Saturday. I don\'t think TGJB will be including it in his Belmont package as it is not a G! or even a G as I understand it.

I rarely give out a horse but in this case I want to. I\'m no insider but I think this race presents an opportunity i.e. a potential overlay. Be advised that no less than TGJB has informed me that my choice had no chance (off the sheets) in his last race and is probably in deeper water Sat.

The horse is Tis Shea D. My argument is simple, in his last three races he has been either stopped or delayed resulting in also ran finishes. The lengths he lost do not show on his sheet, In each of those races he rode the rail before being compromised late. To exacerbate the issue he is a grinder without a burst.

In looking at the replays of his previous races the call is borderline one plausible view is he just doesn\'t have the talent another is he is still learning and needs an adjustment in riding style or the luck to get an unimpeded trip. I expect a healthy price. Mott hasn\'t given up on him and neither have I. If he is not a healthy price that may be more telling than all.

So I\'d love to hear from those who can interpret a trip visually. Did this horse leave the TG points he needs to be competitive in his previous mis-trips or am in the Kool Aid instead of wine again.

Not Kool Aid, Electric Kool Aid. Acid.

We might do that one for ROTW, based on the noms that\'s one of the best ungraded 3yo races you will ever see. Your horse has about 5-10 lengths to find, depending on who shows up-- several of them are cross nominated to the Woody Stephens etc.

Tis Shea D has never run fast, like TG 6 from memory. Unless there\'s some real slow-ski\'s in the race, don\'t know if he will be competitive.

...oops just saw JB\'s comments
