if im not mistaken, Coolmore has the breeding rights for AP, so they will retire him after this year belmont victory or not as is their protocol, for example, Australia last year.

I think I know what ownership and trainer are thinking right now.

No horse has won the Triple Crown since 1978.

No horse has EVER won the Triple Crown and the BC Classic. That would set the bar
very high, obviously.

Lets look at older horses he would face: Not Shared Belief. Will Cal Chrome still
be DumbAss managed? Tonalist?

And some older horses not so impressive in their last starts: Wicked Strong,
Bayern, Palace Malice.

I\'m way ahead of myself. Let\'s nurse this guy into the Belmont.

But no way I think AP retires after the Belmont, win or lose, if he remains sound.

coolmore is a sound operation and know that they will sucker some nouveau riche from qatar into paying more for AP than he wil ever be worth. was Australia really that good?
