Title: NYRA Video
Post by: Fairmount1 on May 09, 2015, 07:02:55 PM
For all the criticism of NYRA\'s clueless clowns, they did get one thing right.

I\'ve waited a few weeks to comment to make sure of my opinion.  Others with NYRA rewards have posted in the past.  But recently, NYRA created a login/app/video feed for anyone, not just NYRA rewards members.

The high def feed is phenomenal.  I mean flat out as good as it gets.  I stream it from my Ipad to my 46 inch Samsung tv via apple tv (this tv is ten years old).  The feed on this old tv makes my 65\" brand new samsung look like garbage with the exact same Belmont (prev. Aqu) content on the the 65\" from the hrtv channel on uverse.  You can see every movement of the jockey the entire race.  Terrific choice of camera angles.  The replays the same.  Trips and Traps with Andy Serling and Mig (Mike Beer pre-card analysis) tie details crystal clear as if you are there in the room with them.

I\'ll give it to NYRA on this one.  The HD video streaming online must certainly be at least 1080.  Worth the time to sign up for the free account and/or download the app for your enjoyment.

(Churchill\'s on track HD feed to their TV\'s was terrific also btw).  Horse racing with the colorful silks, saddleclothes, etc was made for HD.  Finally getting to enjoy it.

I enjoyed the HD from day1, when it was offered on NYRA rewards.

For some reason the SD NYRA feed is actually sub par, worse than many small tracks.

I\'d like it if they didn\'t obscure the main feed with a full screen of the w/p/s pools for 45 seconds  at 3mtp.

Concur. It is awesome, especially as you said, the ability to split screen it and create your own choice of camera angles.
