Once again my viewpoint is clouded by disappointment. In Today\'s Peter Pan I thought a m/l of 12/1 on the most likely and overlooked winner was a gift. Even the 8/1 in a field of five was whoop de doo.
Recent posts have again visited the issue of value in terms of overlay & underlay. I am not looking @ Wolf Man Rocket\'s sheet but BB\'s AP celebrity glow must have contributing to this one being the favorite.
To the point, I became a Tiz Shea D fan when he was slowed getting by the pacesetter in the Gotham. But he never left the rail! Confident in the Wood he or the jockey failed, never looked comfortable got crowded.
Another new jockey today, and one reportedly able to follow trainer instructions and once again he got stopped inside. This horse does not have push button acceleration. Rather he appears a grinder and a free runner. Looking forward to the horse getting some room to run but if not Belmont where?
Meanwhile patience, the price keeps rising. Next time!
On TG that horse had zero chance. Check the Red Board Room tomorrow.
10-4.
I didn\'t expect his #\'s to be strong. His Gotham trip cost some lengths which the sheet doesn\'t measure. The Wood didn\'t look good?
Did you make BB\'s a probable bouncer or deserved favorite?
Deserving favorite and 50/50 to bounce. No value at the price. Alan put up the winner, who I was wishy washy on.
