Title: Fastest 1/4m In The Race
Post by: sekrah on May 05, 2015, 06:28:36 PM
Crunched some numbers and determined that Frosted ran the fastest 400 meters of any horse at any point in the race.

And he did it around the 2nd turn........Around a turn!! Not a straight stretch.....On a deep, tiring track where he already had put in 6 furlongs.

Nice work

Frosted threw a nice final quarter at them also.

Still not prepared to conclude the track was tiring though. What\'s fair to say is the leaders held up on it and at the end were very tired.

Gotta really feel for joekay, poor guy is asking questions that are going to be really hard to answer.  Seems to be asking do Figures retain their integrity at novel distance. That\'s gonna be the topic for this Derby.

I think it was a legit slow track. The very next race, a decent group of OCL 75Kers completely quit.

That\'s 28 horses in the final two dirt races with abnormal energy profiles (based on the fractions) that would indicate the track was slow.

How many horses do we need to see quit after \"meh\" fractions to prove that they weren\'t \"meh\" fractions at all?
