Title: Mubtajih
Post by: shanahan on April 30, 2015, 08:08:46 PM
or however it\'s spelled...isn\'t the style of racing over there much differnt?  I mean, does the number really make sense?  It\'s all gallup, gallup, ride like hell, isn\'t it?  Is the figure true in that regard?

I don\'t think that\'s a completely accurate characterization of Dirt racing at Meydan. It\'s not exactly European style turf. I don\'t think it\'s a valid excuse for the time -- kinda slow pace and just an ok final.

So I think there are legitimate question marks here. Mub was  a HUGE underlay in that last Derby Future Pool Wager. I have him in Vegas at a big price and based on what I saw from him Thursday morning when galloping out off a 3f blowout, I am not looking to press that play. I Will use him under maybe because I like him at 10f.

Hey Ill-bred, I\'m WI-bred and I\'m with you and also have him in Vegas futures. I got 90-1...you? Slow early pace yes but there\'s no run-up there, so that would seem to be a huge factor when looking at the early fractions. They start the timer when the gate opens not after they\'ve had a chance to start running like in the USA. Like you I\'m also going to play him underneath the fast ones because he should be running at the end. The thing I like is that he pops the gate well and gets position early in the race. As long as Martin Garcia on the 8 doesn\'t bear hard left again at the start we should get a good position and then with racing luck should be there or thereabouts at the finish.
