Title: Be prepared..........

For Churchill Downs to make up the rules as they go along in this years Derby.

Last year there was a scratch just prior to the race, not sure who or how long before, but that horse was assigned post # 1.

Now at any other race track in the country, all the horses would be moved in - to the left - one slot. Thereby, the horse in PP #2 should be in PP # 1 etc.

CAME HOME drew post #15 and was in the auxillary gate. We all know that post #15 is the equivilant of post # 16 due to the spacing between the 2 gates - there is the equivilant of 1 stall between them.

Churchill decided \"Ah, leave \'em all where they are, we\'ll make up the rules as we go along\". CAME HOME should have been moved to post #14 with the scratch (and all the horses to his outside should have been moved inward one slot). Not saying he\'d have won, just making a point, which might spark a debate on the issue of jockeys wearing advertising patches this year.
