Title: Is my thinking right here?
Post by: johnnym on April 26, 2015, 10:55:47 AM
Every year the media gets hold of a horse and just props it up,this year its A.P.

After doing all my research please can someone tell me why A.P resume is better than Dortmunds?

Dortmund Is undefeated, has won at Churchill, very battle tested and Never missing a beat since he started training.. That is something none of the top horses can say except for MUB.

A.P Very nice resume won two G1s much like Dortmund missed time due to injury never has been tested and very much took the easy route to get in the Derby as I say Oaklawn was the least competitive routes this year..

For stats times speed figures and price Dortmund is the better price and is just as good as AP going into the gate come sat..

Is my thinking right here?

This goes towards my tix strategy which is to wheel Dort with 7 horse in the B slot and 10 in the C slot..
Thanks all

Everyone, remember where you are.

John,

Many good points and most years an undefeated horse coming into the Derby as impressive as Dortmund has been makes for triple crown talk. He has done nothing wrong and the only knock from my point of view is that monster stride if he gets into traffic. Is he athletic enough to get it going again?

He just happens to be the beast in his own barn with the visual untested beauty living next door! If you like him that much? 9/2 or 5/1 gets you great value, make a good win bet along with that key.

Good luck,

Frank D.

In my opinion Dortmund is not as fast coming home as AP.  I could see AP winning this race for sure but I would be shocked if Dortmund won.

I am pretty sure that I heard somewhere that it was Dortmund that wasn\'t very good on the turns.  Pretty sure it was him.

Not as fast on TG

Own trainer seems to prefer AP

Not the reigning champ

Did not win preps as easily

That\'s enough to justify 5-1 vs. 3-1

Yes I very much remember, your product is not gospil to me sorry to say.
I use it as one of my many tools I use to handicap this race.
That being said, I respect the knowledge on this board more than any other board I visit and that was why I posted.
I like to learn and become a better player..
Thank you for all your time you put into your product..

Maybe not on TG sheets but on others yes.
I ve never heard Baffert say anything that you mentioned, and I have watched all his interviews.
Reining Champ at 2 this is a new year.
No he did not win preps like AP but I say the competition was tougher n Cali than Oaklawn

None of your points hold any water with me..
Good Luck

Tencendor has bounce written a over him for me..
He jumped up huge in his last race..
Frosted went past him with Rosario sitting chilli as could be while Tencendur was being whipped and urged. Now add 1/8 mile and 4 lbs..
Tencendour is a toss for me..
El Kabier is the won to watch in my opinion

The last thing miff needs is me or anyone to defend his stated views.
You just insulted one of the room\'s top guys as well as one of the most respected posters on the board.  Try not to get personal because some of these dudes will verbally put a knot on your head.

He has not bounced yet.  At 40,50-1 not a toss.
