No not Wayne Gretsky. El Kabeir. Apparently Al Kabeer is an Islamic term for the all great one, the beautiful one and in the end an alias of Allah. So I\'m thinking El Kabeir is some form or miss-spelling or anglicized version of same?
I am concerned that this horse could be more unpopular after the race than he is before the race. I\'ve seen very little chatter about him. Myopia. It wasn\'t too long ago he was leading the points list and a headline maker.
How fast a racehorse can fall from grace. Yet here he is in KY and like the Capital Hill ultra light postman, under the radar.
After the Wood, I posted that I thought El Kabeir was being trained and taught to drop off the pace in preparation for the derby. I had to edit that post down to nothing relevant disregard once I realized what it implied. I didn\'t intend to cast any dispersions on a trainer whose name ends with a vowel.
In hindsight I am still haunted some. The press whacked C. Lopez pretty good for a terrible ride. Of course they hadn\'t looked at the TG sheets for the 1st two finishers. What if I psyched the connections correctly (Zayat right) knowing El Kabeir could not run the whole race with Dortmund or chasing their Bunny Mr. Z. they proceed to retrain for a late running effort. The Art of War demand one use overpowering force when able. A Three on One Fast Break.
So this delusion looks like Mr. Z setting a fast three quarters to a mile, handing the baton to Dortmund to grind home with El Kabeir making the latest move. I know put Borel on his back! Two shots instead of ?
At this point in time there is no El Kabeir Bandwagon and I seriously doubt there will be. Maybe many of the super perfecta players don\'t want to say anything. Since I will skip the super and be thrilled will a trifecta I couldn\'t stand myself if it was ruined by a horse that I thought I saw coming.
The horse didn\'t need points so put a line thru thu the Wood. Can\'t blame Lopez for following orders. Can\'t overlook the influence of the middle east in this race. Being the redneck I am I shouldn\'t bet this horse based on his name. The 3rd of the 3 Zayats. Certainly they are holding a very strong hand.
Zayat is an Orthodox Jew, I doubt he\'s naming horses after Islam\'s God.
I took El Kabeir to beat Mubtaahij at +130 (best finish position). I believe that means EK needs to beat Mub 43.5% of the time to break even. Any thoughts?
Seems bold. Are you that high on EK or that doubtful about Mub?
EK is faster on the Thorographs and I am getting odds.
