Horse may not get enough out of his preps to be ready for the 1 1/4 derby. Will basically have one race. Unless this is the best horse by far, i don\'t see it. I\'m hoping he wins another one easy. He could turn out to be the best, I just don\'t think it\'s happening on Derby day with one real prep.

Justwin you should look in the archives.  At this point, with the extra flesh he carried yesterday, and the excellent spacing to the Arkansas derby,  he appears strictly the one to beat in Louisville.

Also to anyone, and I hope I am not out of line,  Does Ragozin have a designation for blinkers in their microwave past performances?

I can\'t get past his pedigree.

Female family looks hopeless for ten furlongs in a race where he\'ll be on or close to what is usually a solid to fast pace.

Fast well managed horse might be a superstar and outrun his pedigree but he won\'t be on top of my tickets.

Personally, I would be more concerned with his running style. Is he one dimensional (like Game on Dude/Bayern) -- other brilliantly fast Baffert horses that cannot pass another horse?

Baffert won the Derby with a wire-to-wire horse (War Emblem) but that style seldom wins. Maybe, he can pass another horse. Maybe, he is good enough that he doesn\'t have to.

Quality not quantity in my opinion.  His pattern to this point looks pretty darn good to me.  Not saying he will take the derby but seasoning wouldn\'t be my concern.
