Title: Belmont tix
Post by: joekay on February 23, 2015, 05:39:48 PM
Belmont tix sales opened today. Ticketmaster is handling all sales, if you don\'t already have an account with them;it\'s a briar patch. Price for the section I usually buy is up 50%.

You can\'t just call the track and buy tickets?

I go to Santa Anita once a year.  Call the ticket office, talk to the same guy every year. He finds me great box seats in the clubhouse. Price isn\'t bad, and hasn\'t been jacked up over 50% either.

I don\'t know how you guys deal with this on a regular basis. There is a new \"look at how dumb NYRA is\" comment daily.

They can ONLY be purchased through Ticketmaster with a $6 per ticket surcharge.

The tickets that Laura won last year had a face value of $45 each, same seats
this year are $66 each plus surcharge.

Clueless bunch just has to squeeze the lemon completely dry; if a triple crown is not on the line they will be $20 all over the place!

Oh well its a long way off 100 days per the countdown on Ticket Master site, with a lot of snow to melt and a lot of mercury to rise to say the least.

But the good news is, for a mere $60, you can purchase a parking pass which, I assume, will allow you to park somewhere on Long Island.

Fully expect Derby winner to lose the Preakness this year, given this wide, chaotic, underraced crop . . . so looking forward to Bargaintown in the bourse, on the heels of the results from the third week of May.
