Ok
I finally got a good look at Tapit. Shortly out of the gate the weirdo is looking at the horse inside of him. Down the backstretch, where theres not a whole lot goin on he appears to level out and pick up ground fairly effortlessly. On the grandstand turn, he looks inside again. Coming down the lane, he\'s interferring with his own progress, he slips behind a horse and is steadied ever so slightly, his head is way up in the air...he never levels out and strides on until right at the wire when he puts his head down and accellerates away.
If he was looking around, and thats what it appears to me now, he really did have all kinds of ground potential that wasn\'t realized. I don\'t quite understand the quick bear in, other than maybe he wanted to get close to those other horses again. He bore in while making up ground. I don\'t know how the Churchill crowd is gonna affect him, but he\'s a weirdo.
Maybe Dickinson will put blinkers on for the big race? That would get people talking. HP

....and ear muffs
More of them should be wearing them! lol.
Wasn\'t there a fairly decent Derby horse some years ago that raced with ear muffs?
Was it Gate Dancer?
It was Gate Dancer. He looked like some sort of deranged overgrown rabbit
