What makes this race playable is the possibility that Brandi is over the top
after accumulating beaucoup frequent flyer miles in the last six weeks. On the
other hand, if TCB wins again, she will be mentioned by some as Derby material.
I would take a shot with one or both of the Hollendorfers. Majestic Presence
improved at Delta but had very little chance from post 10. The negatives here
are that G. Stevens probably hurts the price and Majestic Presence races at
equal weights with TCB (she got 5 pounds from TCB at Delta).
Achiever\'s Legacy is the only stakes winner in the field besides TCB.
Danette is a maiden. Maybelline has not been as fast as the other contenders,
is now outside, and could go off 5/2 instead of the 5/1 ML with
Baffert/Bejarano.
If you like the \"last raced BC toss\" angle, say goodbye to Feathered
ROTW mentions Hollendorfer\'s record at Los Al, but it is a 25 race sample;
according to TG, Hollendorfer strikes at a 23% rate overall (13,000 + race
sample)and at 19% in both stakes (1600+ race sample, TG) and graded stakes
(178 race sample, DRF).
Don\'t care that Danette is a maiden, she\'s the play!
