Title: Woodbine this weekend
Post by: shanahan on September 13, 2014, 10:29:28 AM
Have a $10 DD with the 8 in leg 2.  4 minutes before the post the expected payout was $102 for $1.  With a $16.90 winner in leg one, it is suddenly $33.90.  Gian\'ts Causeway has been referred to by Alan as \"the greatest synthetic sire\".

But that\'s enough whining:  2 pik 4 bets:
Race 4)
5 is the early speed, which after one race means little.  I see the 1,8,11 as fastest today with the 2 right behind \'em. Safely, I take these 4.
Race 5)
with the scr of # 3 (who I was not taking), I see the 2,5,10,7 as fastest today.
Race 6)
Violette 2nd out 2YO is dangerous, so I take that one with the 5,9,10 - all who should be nice odds.
Race 7)
and you also start the late pik 4 here - the 3 is my singleton among the three fastest and best bred - the other 2 being 2,5.
4x4x4x1 = $32 for the 50 cent, and $96 if you take all 3 at the end.

Race 7)
taking all 3 of them.  2,3,5
Race 8)
feel comfortable singling the 4, but see the 5,3,7 as fastest today as well.  love the breeding.  7 is the early speed if it\'s holding.
Race 9)
Undecided what to do with Clement (1), but taking it along with the 4 and 3.
Final Race 10)
8 3 1 are fastest, with the 4 a play if you go deep as well.
4x1x3x4 - $24 for the 50 cent, so obviously it\'s still not too big if you don\'t single.  I play it twice with th e4 singled in 8th, and the 8 singled in the 10th
Good Luck.

Just looking at TG numbers for the Woodbine Mile. Boy, Brian Lynch\'s turf horses must have all loved the fresh mountain air up in Saratoga.

Good Luck,
