2nd week in a row we have seen major DUDS from odds-on types who looked like they laid over the field. Palice Malice and Untappable. Palice Malice had good timing and stopped. Will be interesting to see what he has left for the Fall.
It didn\'t look like PM handled the track today - his motion seemed very \"up and down\" and he never really planed out.....
His next race will be key. Pletcher has gotten then cranked up in a major way before only to see them flatten out badly. Lawyer Ron, Harlans Holiday and Left Bank to name a few.
As far as Will Take Charge he will always be vulnerable to a loose frontrunner. But losing to Lea on a sealed GP surface, Dude at SA, Moonshine on the CD rail and Moreno today is not a disgrace. He also gave all but Dude serious enough weight. He should not be written off for The Classic. The media is already about to hand the Trophy to a 3YO. The King isn\'t done just yet.....
Name a horse Pletcher has kept completely on top for an entire calendar year. Maybe Ashado??? Her $9 million broodmare price to Darley hasn\'t worked out well.....
Interestingly, miff caught it we all know, Pletcher reversed thoughts on Lasix ban. What say the board elders including miff? Pletcher\'s answer as to why was odd at best. Miff, since Pletcher and Phipps are on the same side of this \"debate\" now, is Pletcher a \"blowhard\" (your word) like the Phipps?
WTC is a racehorse. Lays it out there every time and vulnerable to loose speed as you say. Triple Crown aside he has danced nearly every dance.
