Title: UK thorograph ratings
Post by: Bookieross on July 17, 2014, 06:09:11 AM
Hello, I\'d like to know how to compare Thorograph ratings with UK speed figures, do Thorograph look at Timeform or Racing Post speed figures, I think both are similar though I\'m not sure if they take into account of ground loss or wind, a quick look at some figures would put a Thorograph \"0\" of around 130 on racing post figures?

Coupla things.

1-- Our foreign figures do not account for ground loss.

2-- Most of the figures over there are based on weight-for-age, there is no simple \"zero equals\" conversion. A TimeForm 120 for a 3yo filly and a 120 for an older male are two different universes in figure terms. On TG, weight is already built into the past figures, a 5 is a 5, then you adjust yourself for the weight each horse carries today (5 pounds = 1 point).
