If the writer of the Thoro-Graph Belmont Stakes Analysis really believes that nasal strips have magic powers, enough to be responsible, in any way, for the performance \"explosion" he alludes to in his opinion, he's sorely mistaken. [I'm holding back from saying that in a very insulting way, because I think it's so ridiculous.]
Big City, Big Money, Big East, Big Noise advocates trashing the little guys in the sport. Maybe this time CC wins for the regular people.
It\'s funny. I don\'t hear anyone complaining about the fact that Jerkins is planning to put cotton in the ears of Wicked as \"he performed a little better\" the other day while at the track. Horse is so wound up he doesn\'t even like the sound of horses running in the slop, per Jerkins. So:
1) Is \"cotton-in\" a performance enhancer?
2) Is Lasix-on or blinker\'s on a performance enhancer?
3) Is \"cotton-in\" on the approved list?
3a) If not, does Jerkins need to get stew\'s approval to put cotton in?
3b) If not, why not?
3c) If so, how will we know?
Miff has done a great job outlining the performance of those that have worn the strip this week and nothing noticable. Thanks Miff.
It\'s easy to say \"race without the strip\" but why should they? Those horses wearing blinkers should then have to take them off also. We\'ve been over bits, partial cups, etc. In this age of trainers using illegal stuff to enhance their horses performance, we really shouldn\'t have a problem with the legal things. If one is unhappy over the timing of the stews over-riding a long-overdue ruling, well, take it up with them. The rule was stupid in the first place.
I won\'t be betting on Chrome but I, like most everyone, will be cheering him on down the lane if my horse isn\'t to be found. I live near Yuba City and it will be nice to see if the 99% can put one over on the 1% for a change. The blue-bloods will stew for a while but \"order\" will be restored ;-) if they send Chrome to a Kentucky shed when it\'s time.
Good luck everyone. Thanks for the forum Jerry even though I disagree with you often. And it ain\'t the strips.....

Great post and agree. And what if the cotton falls out? Do I get my money back?
