Title: Question about ground loss/ Bel. 10th on 5/31
Post by: fasteddy on June 03, 2014, 04:02:14 AM
Question: In last Sat. 10th race, the winner (Distorted Beauty) made a sweeping wide move from 11th and got up late. Was the ground loss here a case of \"not as bad as it appears\" and did she really not lose a lot of ground, and as a result, the win is not as good as it looks visually? On the surface, it appears this filly may have a nice future on the grass. Opinions? Thanks for the input.

Temporary rail was out 35 feet that day, must be taken into consideration in
evaluating the race, no?

I think the polite way to say that is that the filly was \"well meant\".

Rumors that Gov Chris Cristie will be inspecting Monmouth and Ocean Counties making
sure they are adequately prepared for Tropical Storm Frank.
