Title: Mott Loaded
Post by: richiebee on June 01, 2014, 06:40:52 AM
Exhibit A): Filimbi. Recent Belmont allowance winner at Belmont, after running
second to Somali Lemonade at Keeneland (Somali came back to win a stake on
Preakness Day). By top turf sire Mizzen Mast out of Flute, who won both the Ky
Oaks and the Alabama. Filimbi is nominated for a couple of races at Belmont this weekend.

Exhibit B): Seek Again, who ran a gritty second to Wise Dan at CD. Two
outstanding efforts in two US tries, having won the Hollywood Derby as a 3YO
last fall. Have not checked for his name in nominations. Like Filimbi, SA\'s dam
was a multiple graded stakes winner for Frankel/Juddmonte.

Exhibit C): Change Now, by Tiznow out of Supercharger. Half brother to Derby
winner Super Saver. This one has been on my radar since a very professional
maiden breaking score on Florida Derby day. A very handy preliminary allowance
win on Friday, watch the replay if you did not see the race. I think CN has G1
potential, even the patient and conservative Bill Mott might be thinking of
Jim Dandy down the road.

Mott and Linda Rice both started slowly at Belmont, heating up now...

Richie,

Seek Again has been working steadily since The Woodford and is nominated to the Manhattan on Belmont day.
