So far there have been over 1500 downloads of the drf expo presentation. Even assuming a lot of those were unsuccessful attempts, it probably means at least half that many people saw it, so it may have been worth losing five years of my life due to the stress.
you didn\'t want to live to 120 anyway; robot horses, 75% takeout and GHW Bush IV as president!

75%= Richard Dutrow, Jr. IV win percentage.
Good Luck,

More than likely it means 3000 people saw it assuming everyone forwarded it to at least one source!
But now that you found out how easy it was, how about doing another live venue at Del Mar?
Easy? EASY???
As discussed in Vegas, Roger is set to come out to give a seminar. And judging by all those tickets you were cashing, you don\'t need too much help.
All those tickets I cashed were courtesy of the TG sheets...just like the tri today in the Dubai sprint. Not only was it a tremendous overlay for 3 U.S. jocks (as you alerted us to), but the horse who took all the action from William Hill yesterday (Multidandy went from 16 to 4) was dead on the board, meaning the books weren\'t worried enough to lay anything off on him.
What I would really like to know, however, is what happens in the Derby if you have a quality speed horse like Smarty Jones who may be distance challenged running against slow horses with better pedigrees for the distance. Spend A Buck or Gato del Sol scenario???
Quality speed?? I like Smarty, but his pace #\'s are nowhere near Buck, let alone Balto Star or War Emblem. I see this Derby with a below average pace scenario, but won by a stalker, not a deep closer. Now if Eurosilver can get healthy....
Fasteddie---
I agree. Despite it being impossible at this point to determine WHO, it appears that you are looking at a Derby where the early pace horses are not that fast. We will not have CONGAREE, MORE THAN READY, BALTO STAR, PEACE RULES,etc.(class speed types)leading the way this year.
Just the fact that some of the preps have been won by bombs gives a good indication on how wide open this thing is.
I think EUROSILVER will miss the Derby. Zito is a conservative trainer. I\'m thinking he has to get BIRDSTONE in the gate (Marylou has to be there wearing her hat) and THE CLIFF\'s EDGE is solid enough to perhaps get a check.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
What happens now with Consecrate??
Fasteddie--
Perhaps Baffert knew that he was his bench guy. That\'s not to say that the pace doesn\'t fall apart @ CD and this guy picks up the pieces.
I think if you asked Baffert he would rank WIMBLEDON and PREACHIN\' as his 1-2 punch. He\'s keeping them apart and I look for the screws to be turned up for WIMBLEDON in the SA Derby (4 weeks to recover), but not so much for PREACHIN\' who\'s going to the Bluegrass.
Good Luck,
Joe B.
Can anyone comment on the pace numbers for Value Plus or Lion Heart. Would they qualify as \"quality speed\"?

I\'m not sure he gets in the gate. Based on the most recent numbers I\'ve seen, he has only $98,000 in graded stakes earnings (the WinStar is ungraded), which puts him at 26th on the list. There are some unlikely participants ahead of him (Halfbridled, Tiger Hunt, Kitten\'s Joy), but also some horses behind him who may well move up in the coming 2 weeks (Master David, Rock Hard Ten, Eddington, Smarty Jones). In the absence of a clear favorite to scare people off, I think the gate will be full on May 1, and I don\'t think $98,000 will be enough to earn a slot.
