He is going to be my key today
I will play this the same way I unsuccessfully played the Derby
Going to key Kid Cruz in the tri and super and play CC to run off the board
I am in the camp that CC doesn\'t like being shuffled back and that he won\'t get same trip as Derby. There are several in here as fast or almost as fast as him to begin with and between th figs, race shape and short rest, I have what I need to try and beat a 3/5 shot
Kid Cruz is very fast on TGs, has a running style that should fit the race shape, has a win over the track and will have no problem with the distance.
Obviously the horse has some physical issues which is why the horse was in a claimer to begin with and why the races are so spaced out and there are no breezes but the horse has fired everytime Rice has him in the gate so she\'s been managing the physical issues well
From what I could see on the videos this week, I thought he was moving ok on the track and if they have the issues in check today, he has very good chance of hitting the board as a 10 to 1 key.
Good luck to all.
I also like Kid Cruz, but I think it will be dangerous to leave CC off altogether. My own perception is that even if you beat the favorite, so often they come back in 2nd or 3rd. You also have to like the odds on General A Rod. I haven\'t heard anything though about how he came out of the Derby. It would be nice to know if he is holding his weight.
General A Rod needs a neutral or good inside part of the track.
If it\'s okay down there I could see a nice suck up trip for him.
Agree on Kid Cruz.
Would love to see the sheets for all the runners that come out of Kid Cruz\'s last race. TG players who believe KC\'s last fig will have a big edge since he has never run less than like TG 3.5 on Rags/Beyer/TF and two others.Cant comment on fig without the other horses from his last race which was run over a VERY slow Pimlico surface.
Does have strong late pace figs if the pace gets real fast and a meltdown ensues.Kid Cruz deals with back issues and gallops up to races for those concerned about no works.

Did you just deem my Kid Cruse play? I won\'t be tossing CC, playing light and hoping I get the chance to bet against Belmont day.
Big difference between TG and Rags Last figure for this horse last race. Rags had him at 11 in his last. As a matter of fact Rags had him with 11\'s last 3 races.
Have you actually looked at some of the horses Kid Cruz beat? YUCK! I will hold my nose and play CC on the win end of the gimmicks. Never been a fan of CC but he did win the Derby as easy as you could want a horse to do it.
$50 Ex 3-1
$5 Tri Wheel 3-1-ALL
$5 Tri Wheel 3-ALL-1
$130 total investment
Joe,
Beyer in the TG 4 range, Rags in the TG 7.5 range, TF in the TG 5 range. No dog in the fight but Rags figure ridiculous but no comment on others until I get all the info and do the day.
Good Luck
Mike

The thing is, the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in that race were also the 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the previous race with similar margins.
They either all moved forward or we got a bad number here.
I will say that the fact Kid Cruz passed any horses at all in that race is very impressive. He was 2 behind going into the turn and the leaders had only galloped up to that point. His top end looks pretty good.
But if he runs the same fractions as he did the last two, he\'s going to be 30 lengths back on the backstretch. If he stays closer, that energy for that kick he showed has evaporated.
I\'m chillier on Kid Cruz that some others here. Unless there\'s a clear anti-speed bias, I avoid closers in Triple Crown races like the plague. They\'ve cost me way too much money over the years. On a fast track, you\'re way more likely to see a bomber win by sneaking away on the front than come from the clouds.
Joint Custody is in today at Pim, you can see his sheet there.
Saw it.
Attached are the TG sheets for Kid Cruz\'s last race.
