This year marks my 30th consecutive derby. While I\'m a regular I\'m far from an expert. My betting record is pretty dismal.
I\'ve been out every morning this week, except ( Monday ) here are my thoughts:
Medal count carrying great flesh. Really gets over the track well with good energy
Wicked strong..... Ditto. Really training and looking great
California chrome... A bit drawn and choppy
Hopportunity lloks good by far best of the baffert horses.
Danza looks good and appears best of the pletcher horses
Dancing with fate was really choppy. Didn\'t seem to handle the dirt ( I know john white loves him but I can\'t agree.
Commanding curve and intense holiday both went very well. Intense holiday just floated over the track each day
If I had to choose 2 on looks it would be medal count and wicked strong
Danny,
Thank you very much, always very helpful
hope you are great and that I get to see you again soon
Jim
Dr. Allday predicted that Danza and IH would run well. said Danza is the real deal, better check them both out. This was on the steve byk show yesterday, I believe.

Several fans\' reaction to seeing California Chrome on the track: \"He\'s not as big as I thought he was\"
Thread,
This from someone who observes him frequently in Cali
\"California Chrome is all Pulpit. Beautiful horse with length, not big but rather sleek with an average rear.Moves well when gets to cruising speed, a bit of pull when in and amongst horses\"
Good Luck
Mike
In watching replays he certainly is more comfortable outside of horses. Doesn\'t like to be covered up either.
Bruno said that, doesn\'t he spend most of his winters in Florida, not California?
CC talk on twitter this morning:
\"looked stiff\"
\"blowing quite noticeably on returning to the barn....interesting\"
Apologist post from MIFF coming in 3.....2.....1.....
Thread,
Wrong on Bruno, wrong on what Zoe and Donna Barton. How about you put some money where your cluless mouth is.
How much CC against whoever you like??...and I hate his post
Watch the silence
Mike
Well, apparently personal attacks are going to be allowed to stand, so I\'ll respond.
Silence? I\'ve asked you several times to demonstrate your \'superior\' intelligence with some detailed discussion about ANYTHING, and you never respond.
Here\'s the tweet from Bruno yesterday:

California Chrome is all Pulpit. Beautiful horse with length, the kind of horse I love at sales -
He clearly stated this himself, and is a partially exact copy of what you stated I was wrong about, but in fact you are wrong. So more likely what happened is, someone re-stated or otherwise borrowed this and YOU are too clueless to realize it was someone else\'s statement.
I get it, you\'ve taken 3 times the normal dose of viagra, put on rose colored glasses, and directed all the resulting energy toward CC. I couldn\'t possibly care less about your opinion or proving it is right or wrong via a wager.
I might be wrong about CC, been saying this from day 1, and if I am it\'s one race and I\'ll move on to the next one without getting overly emotional. But in my estimation, a rational evaluation of the facts tells me that he won\'t win this race. Not important to me whether you agree or disagree. Good luck.
Thread,
Personal attack?
Who just wrote something about me being an apologist for CC or something like that, as if I have to answer to Threahead??? really. You keep making noise without a shread of who you like any why. Your brilliant prognostication about CC losing is about a 70 % likelihood in a 20 horse field and given what looks like the race shape on paper.
Still dont know who you like, and why you are unwilling to bet against a horse you know is \"over-hyped\"
By the way, anyone who denies a horses TG figs, regarless of whether his watching horses every day or not is VERY welcome to the pools(believe you know who I mean)
The board anxiously awaits your selection after you read the Bris(isnt that a jewish ceremony?)
Mike
That\'s great, apparently now your only hope is to paint me in a false light by saying I primarily rely on BRIS figures, which I\'ve already addressed as false. I\'ll make the same deal with you I made with PDub, if you stop responding to my posts, I\'ll stop responding to yours. Hopefully you won\'t be like him and forget about the agreement 9 months from now. Out of respect for the rest of the board, this discussion stops here.
And who doesn\'t run well when he\'s behind horses, or in between horses --- will be bet hard, and finish off the board.

Pot calling kettle. You are the King of insults.
Nice of you to drag my name into another disagreement you are having with someone. Yet, you want me to ignore your posts.
As Miff would say.......Brilliant!!!
Bruno and Kerry Thomas takes on CC in this article:
http://insiderlouisville.com/lifestyle_culture/sports/inside-derby-2014-case-california-chrome/
Wasn\'t there someone posting on this board about the \"herd behavior\" of Derby horses last year? Personality types?
My friend paid $20 to read all Thomas\'s comment about the horses.. He has like 4 horses in his top tier herding category. I am not going to spoil the fun but CC is second on the list of horses that fit the profile of winning the derby. My buddy wanted to read the thing to me on the phone and I was just tell me who he likes lol save the rest...
You should re-check with your friend. The re-posting I saw \"on another board\" (that TGJB just made reference to Im assuming) says he is 11th. And goes into a lot of detail why, including the oft repeated here theory that he does not like to be inside of horses. So either your friend is wrong, or someone is having fun with us on the other board.
