Title: CC 8.2 to 1 to win Triple Crown
Post by: boston on April 22, 2014, 06:26:21 PM
1 to 14 that he will not win TC.

Any horse to win TC 6.2 to 1.  Not to win 1 to 10.

Someone bet both CC to win TC and to any horse winning TC.  Odds dropped on both.  CC went to 6.25 to win TC.  1 to 10.25 to not win TC.

5.2 to one on any horse to win, and 1 to 7.8 not to win.

Somebody would have to be a complete moron to take 6-1 on CC to win the triple crown.

He will be 3-1 in the derby......

I agree and took a little piece of 1 to 10.25.

However, If he wins the derby he will be 1-2 in the Preakness.  If he wins Preakness he will be 1-5 in the Belmont.

He has to make both those races. (See i\'ll have another)

And it is doubtful he would be 1-2 in the Preakness.  This may be a different type Preakness year as two colts who I think would be top 5 betting choices in the derby won\'t get in.  (Social inclusion and Bayern)

But if he blows the field away in the derby I guess he could be that short.

Big Brown was 2.4 to 1 in Derby, 1-5 in Preakness, and 3-10 in Belmont.

Secretariat was 1-9.

Not sure what the relevance of your post is.

Different race.  Different opponents.  And as I said in the first post, new shooters with talent are extremely likely in the Preakness this year.  Google the field big brown dusted.
