Title: Pletcher Horses
Post by: pizzalove on April 13, 2014, 02:12:27 PM
I remember last year on this board some advice was given to not touch any of the pletcher horses in the Derby.  It did turn out to be very sound advice.  I was just wondering if that holds true this year.  are their checks and balances in place at churchill that limit pletchers edge that he might have at other tracks where he is not as scrutinized or where certain drug protocols are not followed.  In short does the extra derby security keep Pletcher from cheating?

I think there\'s an outside chance I might discuss Pletcher in the seminar, since he has 4 starters.

When is the seminar this year (on-line)? Will it include the Oaks?

It goes up the night of the Derby draw, and yes to the Oaks.

Haven\'t seen a list of points for that one for a while.

I\'m not taking anything away from the winner, but that might have been the worst field for the Arkansas derby I\'ve ever seen.. Never seen a horse come off a sprint to not only win but crush the field! Know doubt it makes you wonder!

Unlikely. Maybe some time next week, I\'ll see what we did in the past.

It will contain data and my opinions, including about Pletcher and his runners. Seminars for previous years can be found in the Archives section.
