Title: Interrelationships Between Moisture Content of the Track
Post by: ceejay on March 04, 2004, 01:52:47 PM
I watched Jerry\'s talk @ the DRF Expo with great interest.  I would like to read the Ratzlaff etal paper that he referenced, entitled \""INTERRELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE TRACK, DYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF THE TRACK AND THE LOCOMOTOR FORCES EXERTED BY GALLOPING HORSES"\"

Does anyone know what journal this is in, and/or how a copy can be obtained?

Ceejay-- there is a moisture content string here from last fall with a link to the study-- I haven\'t got time to find it right now, but you should be able to. It\'s in one of Mall\'s posts.

Fager-- thanks for the kind words. Funny thing is, I was trying to set Andy up so he could get back at Ragozin for the many shots the two Lens took at him in the book-- I actually asked him during the Kee 4 1/2 discussion if he wanted to jump in, because he had it right, and he just looked at me blankly.

Thank you!

BTW, I think you handled yourself quite professionally at the round-table. The moisture topic alone could have had its own session, or perhaps been included in the Track Bias session.

I was the one responsible for Jerry Porcelli being on the track bias panel, and my motives were not entirely altruistic-- I wanted to get his comments about moisture content etc. (many of which have appeared here, and are on two of the slides I didn\'t get to show), on the record.
