Title: Kiaran McLaughlin
Post by: jbelfior on February 09, 2004, 08:44:00 AM
It\'s amazing what this guy has been achieving at GP so far this spring (see RANDAROO and SEATTLE FITZ for recency).

I believe he is now 9 for 14 at the meet, not to mention the 2nd from \'FITZ in the Donn after coming from cold weather Aqueduct. This is starting to look like his spring \'03 Belmont meet.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

One of my favorites. First U.S. start, first lasix, nice prices on the grass in the spring at Belmont. If they didn\'t get lasix the first time, they wouldn\'t run and then he would give them lasix for their second start off the plane and they would win at square prices. That was his M.O. for a few years. He was getting the second string horses from one of the big outfits (Maktoum? Godolphin?) as I recall.

Things started changing last year. He\'s gradually gotten better with his dirt horses. Now the cat\'s out of the bag and the good prices are probably over. HP

Ever study his horses in the post parade?

I don\'t think Lasix was all they were getting.

how about after his horses win the races? half of the time i see them sprinting back around the track in :12 eights on route to the winners circle..... but let\'s be fair, i don\'t think the guy has had a horse test positive (not sure about that though), so i think we should assume that he is just doing his job very well. he has been spotting his horses perfectly, and he does use the best speed rider on a track that tends to favor speed.
