Title: They should publish actual horse weights
Post by: rhagood on August 19, 2013, 08:18:43 PM
"The Triple Crown took a lot out of him physically," said Orb's exercise rider, Jenn Patterson. "There is a scale down there, when they weighed him he was just under a thousand pounds, like 980 or 990; now he's up to about 1,070. He has grown too, gotten bigger. He is still growing; muscle wise, he changed a lot."
So much so, she believes he's the horse he was prior to the Derby, which he won by two-and-a-half lengths.
"He's more of a horse now," Patterson said. "He has grown up."

I would love to know how much Verrazano weighed post Haskel vs now, they list weights in Australia via paddock scales as well as dogs here in the states.

\"One of the things I said is that I'm 62 years old and I say I'm awfully old to start these new experiments, but I've enjoyed it and am kind of excited about the future of it a little bit and using that," he said\"

Pretty soon Shug will be a \"move up\" trainer, hay oats and water RIP!
