This guy single-handedly took Oaklawn Park and Louisianna Downs out of play for me. He won 6 training titles at OP, nine at the latter. Following his release from prison in 2009 for manslaughter, he went to work for Michael Gill( whose trainers also removed another bunch of races from play). At the time 2000-2006, the same naysayers were defending the game as clean. To his credit, apparently he was willing to personally take what was suspected he was giving his horses. To this day, I don\'t believe there are any charges against him as a trainer, so it is reasonable to predict he will soon appear again at a clean track near you.

\"Norman served about nine months in prison. He was released on parole Wednesday. A Correction Department spokeswoman says he will be on parole through April 9, 2014.
Norman attorney James Pratt of Camden says Norman wants to return to his career. Arkansas Racing Commission attorney Byron Freeland says the panel, as a practice, does not license convicted felons while they are under supervised release.
Norman was a six-time leading trainer at Oaklawn, capturing the title from 2001 through 2006. In 2003, he won 71 races, a record for Oaklawn. Norman has won nine titles at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City.\"
Correction, I should have said, \"presumably eligible to train again in April,2014.\" I can\'t find anything on him more recent than this 2009 article, he may no longer be around.
