In the 10th at Saratoga tomorrow there is an equipment change for Tapit to Me. the equipment change is No Whip. Has anyone ever seen this before. Would you play a horse without a whip?

Yes and yes. Guessing horse hates the whip.

Sounds like a smart horse. Running well under the whip encourages more whipping.

We had one yesterday at the Spa where it was announced that the horse was wearing both front and back shoes.

I had never heard that one before. The jockey was using a whip. Maybe to make sure that the horse didn\'t take his shoes off again.
