1:46 for Joyful Victory in 1&1/16th Molly Pitcher. 10 and 4 in the Teddy Drone. Both wete 3/5\'s whobwired but WOW is this Track heavy today.
Surface seems pretty fair, but if you want to talk about \"Dodge City\", I mean...... my goodness. WTF is going on at this track today? That R11 winner had to be last or 2nd to last on TG fig appearance, or any other measure for that matter. Some real head scratchers earlier in the card as well
Final time of the Haskel was 1:50:3 which will come up strong on figures I wager. Pants on Fire was 1:45:3 and Joyful Victory was 1:46. Big weekend for Pletcher sweeping Haskel, Dandy and Amsterdam.
Interesting comments from Shug in an interview earlier that Orb was at Fair Hill drinking Spring Waters and getting Oxygen treatments. Somebody needs to tell him clean air and water isnt how they do it any more....wink!!
I don\'t know if a hyberbaric chamber is the oxygen treatment Shug is referring to but there is a hyperbaric chamber at Fair Hill, and several trainers swear by using one.
It\'s been mentioned re/ another owner/trainer combo often discussed on this board.
Totally legal. Making no accusations otherwise. Just out of reach economically for some.
That what he said he was receivinh and obviously there is a little tongue in cheek to what I wrote. He mentioned he was in his Play Pen at 5:30AM everyday. Then later going down to the Spring and drinking the water and then getting Hyperbaric Treatments.....and he flat out said ITS ALL NEW to him.
Said Bruce Jackson sold him on it and said I think you will like what you see and he said he does look good. Interesting stuff for a guy who is abut as Old School as one can get and Hits a Derby Winner and is willing to try something new with him. Shug and Billy Mott came through CD about the same time together. Mott was more the Claiming Trainer who did a lot of his own work on horses while Shug tended to have a few more Blueblood connections and worked with some better stock.
This stuff now is more about chemistry and science than shoes, oats and bandages. And that isnt saying this or that is illegal. Its just a New Age!!
Interesting point just saw, IMLD injured himself at MTH as well, on top of Oxbow and TCI today. Now, one could argue that their campaigns/large figs going in were to blame for the injuries in each case, but is it coincidence that MTH is where the injuries occurred?

Didn\'t like favored rail in 11th, because she figured to get buried inside in a speed jam, and that\'s how it turned out. Winner was a tough make, but GG doesn\'t much like to run inside, and while she wasn\'t a top number, when she gets a clear path outside, she can run a little . . . certain Bravo was delighted to pick up such leavings yesterday, since Elvis had left the building, if only temporarily.
please delete miff has the #. But it was a big figure for V.
Monmouth was producing fast raw times relative to the calibre of many horses during the meet.Horsemen complained that horses were getting jarred up from the surface.Maintenance fluffed the surface with a back rake and voila, much slower!Track was speed biased 21 of 32 race days prior to this weekend.
Monmouths famous breeze along the backside in sprints also helps wicked early splits.
