Title: Seminars/TG Open
Post by: TGJB on July 17, 2013, 09:18:49 AM
Locking down a location today, we should have an email going out with seminar specifics by the end of the day.

Possible dates for the TG Open are 8/2 and 8/9, both Fridays.

There will be an email going out, but the seminars will be on the second floor of the Carousel (enter through the clubhouse), Sat and Sun starting at 10:40. I\'m doing them this week.

Jerry, So I have to pay NYRA an additional fee for the privledge of entering the clubhouse each weekend day to attend the seminar?

Right now that looks correct, at least for this weekend. NYRA has been trying to work with us, but it\'s not clear there are grandstand spots that work.

You are killing me...and anyone else who can\'t be there
this weekend.

I\'ll pay the $3 per day for you, if you will call me with
the $30 winner and $400 exacta Jerry will undoubtedly give
out.

Have some perspective.

Be patient Rick. This was a very pertinent inquiry. As was the question about Linda
Rice\'s middle name. Now can someone tell me why kamikaze pilots wore helmets?

It is hoped that a way can be found to make the \"all-day hangout\" feature work under the revised circumstances for those who desire it . . . at least, eventually . . .

That\'s one of the things. Others are cover from the sun and separation from other activity (which is why we\'re not using one level down at the Carousel). The area Steve had is open but no longer has tables and chairs, let alone umbrellas. Picnic tables don\'t have back support.

You can more than make up for that by selling him golf balls on the second hole during the tournament.

Everybody\'s a comedian.

I played 27 straight holes on that course last year with one golf ball. It\'s in the Smithsonian now.

Rick, it\'s a deal. I\'ll post my openng day picks in the AM before I head up to the track. I won\'t be there this weekend as I have to fly to LV for work. I will be at the seminar for weekend #2 so you can pay my admission to the CH then.
The irony is, for the last three years I\'ve gotten season passes to the clubhouse, yet spent most days by the paddock or in the grandstand. So this year I get a season pass for the grandstand only...Had I only known. Even a seminar lead by Julian or Bill Spillane would be worth the price of admission.
