Anybody who just saw this horse win the Long Branch at Mth had to be impressed. Was wide, then weaved then wide again and drew away by 5 after being far back early. 1:44 isnt gonna set any track records for a strip thats normally quick. But!!
Mike Repole is more of a Saratoga guy so one would assume they wanted two turns under this horse for a Jim Dandy push. Pletcher already has the Verazanno for the Haskel but it would be interesting if Repole wanted to try the Haskel considering Verazanno bumped his Overanalyze from the Wood. Maybe the post race interview settled all this when Repole or Pletcher was surely asked \"where do you go next\"...;-)
His big win does make things interesting all right. Prior to today it was supposed to be V for Haskel, Belmont winner to Jim Dandy, and Overanalyze for West Virginia. Can\'t imagine he runs against himself in coal country so that leaves 1st two. Maybe it comes down to how well Verrazano is training. Would certainly think Repole would be in a better position to know than most.
Micromanage had the oh so strong bet by Richiebee in his last start angle...
Hey Silver are you going to break away from a compelling Summer of racing at
the \"pea patch\" and visit the Spa?
Lol Ritchie I bet Micromanage in that Easy Goer and bet Bahamian Squall in the Smile prep also. Took a break from racing this weekend because our weather and my golf was the primary priority. Probably could have paid for my airline ticket.
Right now I am not sure on the Spa. You are not the first person to ask. The other has some serious sizzle, enough to arouse my attention so besides seeing some onf the TG boys there is certainly additional incentive!!
