Title: DOUG O'NEILL- ET TU JERRY?
Post by: high roller on July 04, 2013, 05:42:33 PM
Doug O\'Neill interviewed on TVG before the 8th Race threw aN inside fastball right at Jerry Brown.

Asked about the sudden form reversal on his horse Et Tu Walker - Doug replied that the horse had a throat operation and he can now breath - he said some people seem to think we give them magic powders to get them to run like this!

And even more to the point, where is information like that available prior to a race?  Do I have to watch TVG to get it?

You cannot ask the owners of horses for info on their steeds.  That\'s silly.

Why not ask a used car salesman for \"data\" on the car he is trying to sell?

In this case the trainer is not the sharpest knife in the drawer but he is capable.  Even modest \'cappers would note that this horse got good when he was put on the surface he was bred for at an acceptable distance.  Add in that this boy fits him very well.

Throat operations are very hit and miss and often overrated. bbb
