Title: Visit to Monmouth, could use advice
Post by: shanahan on June 26, 2013, 03:56:07 AM
Thinking of staying at a place called the Ocean Palace on the water and making a wkend of it at MTH.  Looks like you can take a water route or train (don\'t have a car).
Having never been there, is this a decent wkend outing over there?
Tanks for anything you can offer ...

The Ocean Palace is a great place to stay. It\'s located about 3 miles from Monmouth. They have a pool and also a beach for people who stay there with lounges and umbrellas. The hotel is right next to pier village which is one of the best places to enjoy a summer weekend at the shore. Restaurants, shopping, etc, etc, outside of the hotel a long the beach there is a walking promenade which over looks the water and the beach. It\'s awesome. In the back of the hotel which over looks the water and beach is a bar with music and all kinds of lounges. Really nice and crowded on the weekends.

Anyway, I would say u will have great time at this location for the weekend. A lot going on there and as I said u will be right next door to the very popular hang out of pier village. Hope this helps.

great place to stay Rooneys Ocean Crab House is a great place to dine al fresco or indoors its right on the ocean North of the hotel. In Pier Village Sirena is an excellent italian rest. Make reservations and enjoy. Tiki bar at hotel is very lively at night....RC
