Title: Meanwhile...

On a far more important subject, you will note that you haven\'t seen the articles about really tough drug testing and prevention methods (including OOC testing) that were running before the Derby.

I asked someone at a racing publication about it, and after making inquiries they described the situation as \"a pig f--k\".

My reply-- \"I\'m a city boy. A what\"?

\"A nightmare. Train wreck\".

What few details are available-- no OOC testing, syringes taken at 24 hours, not 72.

\'My reply-- \"I\'m a city boy. A what\"?\'

I was fine with the cicada stuff, and still OK when you went on to crabgrass earlier this week, but now I\'m hearing the theme from \"Deliverence\" and suggest that you keep yourself between Chambers and 29th Street/river-to-river for a little while, OK? The country can be a scary place for city folk.

Re the TC testing ... two out of three ain\'t bad, eh?

Hmmmmm... A certain horse I was planning on tossing who faded badly during the KYDerby may be back in play now.

Something to keep in mind for your study as well.  Let\'s say, historically speaking, testing was roughly the same between the TC races, where each leg had roughly the same flaws.  The patterns for horses running under those conditions might not be a good comparison to years where (for the sake of argument let\'s say) \"super testing\" is done in the Derby, but the same historical lax testing is done in the Preakness.

Just something to think about.

Yeah, because handicapping isn\'t complicated enough without the additional variables.

And now that you mention it, there\'s a horse that skipped running in Ky and is running here too.

Great.

Tread,

And one of the horses that trained terribly during derby week is reportedly training great at Pimlico (not there myself so second hand obviously)

good news is that none of them are fast enough on the sheets to run with Orb at this distance so I don\'t think any of this really comes into play but it would be alot better if we didn\'t have to worry about it.

btw, I thought your comments on the horse Tread were hysterical.  Got a good laugh out of that one!

If it looks like Anna Nicole Smith did back in the day that might not be so bad! Arent the Janneys from that neck of the woods in Maryland. I mean isnt this a Homecoming of.sorts for.them and the controls or lack of are working against them?? I would have everything wokring for them

Jim, I\'m hoping TREAD can make an appearance in KY at some point and somebody with connections can get me a photo op with her.  They couldn\'t have given the name to a colt and future stud prospect?  I guess I should have known, I was born the exact same day/year as Heidi Klum and Marilyn Monroe also shared our birthday, so I guess my world is just a lot more feminine than most and I\'ll have to accept it.

Anyway, I know a lot of TG users probably wont be using her off the 2pt backup in her last, but that will only improve my odds!
