Title: Can I lodge an objection before a race?
Post by: covelj70 on May 15, 2013, 12:44:10 PM
We drew the 9 hole with Swift Warrior for the Dixie and the horse couldn\'t be doing any better this week but under the silly weight conditions for the race, we are giving up 6 lbs to the entire field except for Optimizer who we only give 2 lbs to.

6 lbs in an awful lot in a race like this.

Gonna have to tell Rosie she\'s gonna need to save alot of ground to make up for that weight!

They didn\'t announce the allowance conditions of the race until after the draw?

I knew the weight conditions, I just didn\'t know that every other horse that was entering the race hadn\'t won enough money in 2013 to get more weight.

All of the weight had to do with money won in 2013 and so nice horses that we already beat in 2013 like Doubles Partner and Wilcoxx Inn who are horses that run good figures are getting 6 lbs from us because we beat them this year.

Where can we find those entries for the undercard?

if you go to equibase, under the \"horseman\" section (free to all) and then go to the OVernights subsection and then pimlico

I appreciate that.  Thanks

I am wathing this one from living room downs (I believe Richie gets the trademark credit for that term, no?)

I have run in 7 graded stakes this year.  Have won 3 of them.

I am 3-3 when I am not in attendance and 0-4 when I am there live.

I think we have a real shot on Saturday (would be more bullish if not for the weight) so I am staying home!

Take all earnings in bitcoins, then mark to the lowest price in the past 30 days. Presto, weight off.

I was actually just looking at the PPs for that race and said geez how could Cov be so confident with the weight he is giving up...then I read this post and find out you didn\'t know about the weight..The pletcher horse and shug horse are dangerous with that break..I hope you pull it out but like you said it is gonna take some race riding.
