For the record I used only 3 horses at all and two were trained by Pletcher.

And if you used our stuff (or got the analysis) you would know we all bet another Pletcher earlier who did okay.

HR - You are completely wrong!  TG had all of them, especially the #6 in the Oaks.  You\'re probably a fan of those prehistoric Beyer figures.

WHOA....I bought the seminar...the 6 didnt figure in....lets be honest...looked ok on the tgs but was expected to bounce or best case pair up

17,8,7,6,5,2 What\'s wrong with that?  TAP 2nd off the layoff.  40% to top 27% to pair made her extremely playable with a distance challenge ML.  Granted DOJ had a terible trip.  She was well worth the price.

I used her to the 12 19 20 in the derby dbl, but the seminar itself didnt have it is all im saying....I wish it did...as the race seemed very vulnerable to a price...

Dismiss the freak number for DOJ,  ML had a sprint and a route that were faster with little foundation.

Look at the winner\'s last race, that number is as competitive as any, and having everyone\'s favorite whipping boy on her certainly didn\'t hurt.  Sure she could have bounced, but at that price you can make a case for a pair up which put her right in the thick of things. The race shape combined with her running style didn\'t hurt either.

And yes Rich C, I\'m red boarding. Drove up to Reno this am, seems like every 3 minutes a race is going off somewhere, not to mention the lines to make a wager.  So, posting on the board wasn\'t easy to do.  However, if you were in the Peppermill Race Book, it was pretty obvious who I played. I was a bit loud.

Good hit, Paul, I forgive the redboarding, glad someone scored (I only played the Oaks-Derby Double with four losers to my Derby horse). Let us all know who you like tomorrow in the slop.

Thanks fellas.

Probably going with IMLD, and NI will get some play too. Both are in doubles.

What I need to know is who you are on here.   I played 6 tops and bottoms, and pressed him.  Should get an honest pace, like the 7/8ths, looks like an overlay if holds the 8-1.

The 4 is really overlaid in here at 7.   Im not in love with Julien, or how hes ridden this horse in the past.   Especially with a race devoid of speed, but hopefully he gets involved.   I think that turf could hold the pace a long time today, especially if it rains.

Which makes Screenplay (Jim\'s horse) the play..Main controlling speed with ability..

Marginal if hes the play.    I won\'t be surprised if he wins, but I\'ll always to differ to longer price.
Title: I think he figured on TG
Post by: toppled on May 04, 2013, 08:44:30 AM
I hit the 2nd using a combination of TG & Formulator.  Here\'s how I saw it: From Formulator-His last race is a major key race.  Even though he finished 8th & got a 15.25, it was on polytrack, so I forgave him because of the class of the race (featured the Lexington winner winning it) and I also forgave his prior race a 12.5 because it was a minor stake.  So I looked at the 4.75 & 5 he ran in the two prior races which were both run on wet tracks and he had the 2nd highest top in the whole race, and remember, both good #s were on wet tracks & there has to be some moisture in the track.  He also had a decent workout on the track.  The sheets were part of it, but I\'m also a big key race guy, which helped.
For the record, two more horses are coming out of that same key race & are running in the 5th.  I\'m making a good bet on the 10, who finished 2nd getting run down at the wire by Winning Cause, but I\'m boxing him with that other key race runner.

Hard to take 3-1 on that one when he lacked the class a lot of them carried.  If he were to have any chance at all he had to be asked out of the gate.  Once he was taken back that is all she wrote.   That\'s just too short a number there when you have a turf pedigree with class at 5 with Julien, and the 4 who figures and is a huge overlay.   Of course, that\'s my opinion

I\'ve said this twice here recently to other people. This is a TG board. Other factors that provide insight-- physicality, pedigree, pace are welcome. But not general handicapping discussions that turn this into a general racing board. There are other places for that.

In the Analysis I gave a 3 horse box, the winner with the 3-4 finishers, who were on the rail, which is clearly at least suspect.

Just trying to help the guys make some money.   Ill keep my opinion to myself thought we were allowed to discuss the races

Not going to let this turn into the Ken Sherman board.

Agreed , thought I saw an easy 3/1 play as the lone speed even though it was low I tried to push it into multi race plays, when taken back I knew I was dead..

I have much to say about the armada.  Quick hit:  the oaks winner shipped in from new york....and the oaks horses were tested right....and did his fla based derby or oaks horses pair up or new top???  Doubtful....its so obvious here....more later.

Couldnt improve asmussen hierro.  And was authenticity tested or no?  Just a few thoughts to consider.

So glad catalano, ward, maker all helping the owner that uses lubrisyn on his own knees got some wins last month.
