Title: Oaks Day Tidings
Post by: Fairmount1 on May 02, 2013, 09:37:38 PM
I\'m leaving very early to head to Louisville and may not be able to post beyond from my phone the next two days.  I really wanted to lay out my thoughts on this Derby and make a prediction pre-race but I truly want to see tomorrow\'s card which will very well affect my opinions for Saturday along with the likelihood of rain which will significantly decrease my Saturday handle.   Ramsey\'s win with ease with Big Blue Kitten and recent torrid streak almost has me wondering if I\'m supposed to use Charming Kitten....but there is no way, ...right???

I am truly hopeful to read Mjellish\'s thoughts whose opinions I respect very, very much on a gambling front.  It is always enjoyable to read his betting approach which is extraordinarily planned with intelligence and enough money to give himself a legitimate chance.  I want to know his Big Brown/Denis of Cork type opinions every year now.

Jim Covello, best of luck on the weekend.  Couldn\'t be a better ambassador on this site for horse racing as an owner.  I feel an absolute honest measure about all of your posts.  You deserve success.

Last thought before Oaks day:  Bashaar supposedly means \"bringer of glad tidings\"--hopefully he will when I bet him in the win position.  His last two races, plus the move to turf, plus his trainer\'s success on turf, plus poly bullet at Arlington....a value play with his first turf attempt.  Good Luck everyone.
