Title: Post on Sherman (Ragozin) board
Post by: TGJB on April 29, 2013, 09:21:45 AM
From someone posting as 21WEINERMAS:

\" Anyone who knows jb knows he lost it a long time ago. Easily on the list of the worst persons in the world he will fight with anyone who will engage him, be it owner, trainer, customer, or poster on his web site. Since he\'s always right it\'s hard to argue with him\".

1-- I didn\'t know any of my ex-girlfriends even knew about that site.

2-- I can see where it would be hard to argue if you\'re wrong. The key decision in any argument is taking a defensible position.

3-- If you break down the word weinermas literally...

4-- I\'m kinda curious to find out who\'s there with me on that list.

What an exaggeration...

1.  I don\'t think you are \"easily\" on the list.  A solid case could be made, but saying that you are \"easily\" on the list is a bit unfair IMO.

2.  I think you were wrong once about a figure.  Didn\'t you change one Finger Lakes figure in 1997 by a half point?  I know the rest I have asked about came back \"solid\"!!

We have changed more figures than you know, including an entire couple of years at Finger Lakes. In our last review of all the circuits I made changes in a lot of small ones, affecting lots of figures at smaller tracks. Lots.

And if you followed the Derby pool sheets closely, you saw IMLD\'s first start this year was changed after a few came back and we had a chance to review it.

But yes, thanks, I too felt he was overstating it a little.

On my list, I have you right between the nun I had in third grade and the coach who cut me from the JV basketball team.  You\'re not even close to girls who dumped me.

\"... I have you right between the nun I had in third grade ...\"

My, weren\'t we precocious!

Still laughing.

That would earn him some time in the Confessional. Maybe you too just for saying it.

That wasn\'t the type of thing you would tell the priest.

Hell, I usually had to get right back in line for all the lies I told in confession. (It\'s possible I never really bought into the process.)

Don\'t get me wrong, though. Nuns are cool. For great \"nuns in fiction\" reading I strongly recommend Elmore Leonard\'s \"Bandits\".

OK, back to the Derby. I hear Orb looked great this morning.

Evidently, so did that nun.

I kind of doubt that this bit of casting can be topped. Hope the link works: http://movieclips.com/LGD4W-salvador-movie-richards-confession/

Yeah, I was a regular Uncle Mo, with pretty much the same career trajectory.  Sadly, the analogy didn\'t get carried to the \"put out to stud\" part.

If the poster has a worst persons in the world list, it has to be Keith Olbermann.  He\'s got a lot of time on his hands since he got booted by Current & NBC.

What is Ragozin without Ragozin?  If you have an answer, tell me.  To me, JB is a Ragozin rip off (from the first when he worked for Len on out)--nonetheless, better than nothing, even if only very slightly so.  When you could complement Ragozin with Siegelaub\'s and Brad Thomas\'s Thorobet--then you had something!  Anyone who knows how to substitute for thorobets, tell the world.  (And don\'t tell me: \"plot your own trips yourself.\"  Waste your time in the process.  Marc and Brad SAW races.
