The good: Just like NI, two preps and got back to his top (albeit only statistically) in his last. Fast 2yo top with 2.5pt grow from 2-3 so can certainly justify him moving into the negative territory needed to win.
The not so good: Just 3 weeks rest and dam & daddy do not scream 10f. TAP questions at CD (although after last night who knows) and possible worry on price (think he could be anywhere from 12 to 20...who knows).
The really not so good: 1-missed Sunland race ended up in Ark so maybe something was amiss...which leads to the BORE IN in last race...AND...and this is something I\'m not to keen on doing (mentioning workout reports) but specifically for this horse because we think he may have some physical issues...heard a discussion from DeJulio the clocker who said he did not like how Overanalyze was drifting in on Palace Malice during their workout on Saturday and how he kept doing it and had to be pulled back each time. That (along with the \"bi\" in his last) could certainly indicate that whatever is bothering is still bothering him.
Realize this is a bit meta and rather not much to base everything on but to quote a couple of lines from the movie THIRTEEN DAYS (which was excellent btw):
Walter Sheridan: That\'s pretty thin, Kenny.
Kenny O\'Donnell: Well, real life usually is, Walter.
Phil:
All good info and I agree about the pedigree, but he seemed to be going strong
at the end of 9 furlongs at Hot Springs, pulling away from a field that in
retrospect and in my opinion was not that imposing.
Might go back and watch the Ark Derby gallop out if its available.
I would agree with this. I also really did not notice any boring in. Can someone confirm this? Thank you.
He bore in at Oaklawn.
It\'s there on the head on replay.
He also bore in during the gallop out with Palice Malice when they worked together the other day.
Stevens had to correct him a couple of times. If not Overanalyze was gonna hip check PM into the rail.
