I was confused by this last year so any input is welcome:
We know that horses pairing tops in their preceding 2 races (at least for the Derby) are far more likely to run a top or pair. We also know that any other pattern is far more likely to result in an Off or X. The question is whether the only pattern that satisfies the \"pairing tops in the preceding 2 races\" is __, P,P? Can it also be __, T, P to satisfy the \"pairing tops\" pattern? Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
