Title: Kentucky derby wire to wire
Post by: JoseOcon on April 06, 2013, 09:06:20 PM
With all these \'slow\' races I should be looking for a wire to wire winner.  It appears that nobody wants to be on the lead.  Governor Charlie type?

Are we really going to spend the next month trying to
beat Verrazano? Any question where he will be in the
Derby?

Don\'t overthink this one, folks; start looking for
prices underneath.

Rick B.

PS -- I\'d *love* to be eating these words in ~30 days.
Can\'t see it yet...and who\'s coming?

Rick B,

How are you buddy?

With your Cicero & Berwyn education I know you have heard this one before.
Since when did you start betting a delicatessen to win a pickle?
5/2 in a 20 horse field with super testing on a trainer who is 1/30 something in the race as well as his recent Churchill stats?

No idea where I\'m going in the Derby yet but I know its not to the TAP deli!!!!

Good luck,

Frank D.

Hiya, Frank. How many days until the Spa opens?

Not interested in a plain pickle at 5/2 (if that),
but if surrounded by the right mix of other
goodies, we can make that pickle taste like Prime Rib.

Remember these payouts?

Program # Name Win Place Show
20 Big Brown $6.80 $5.00 $4.80
5 Eight Belles $10.60 $6.40
16 Denis Of Cork $11.60

$2 Exacta (20-5) $141.60
$2 Trifecta (20-5-16) $3445.60
$2 Superfecta (20-5-16-2) $58,737.80

Great point Rick.  I have a buddy that routinely passes races that have underlaid winners.  The exotics with these horses on top can pay very well.
