Thanks to Mike Repole and Bobby Flay for standing up at the first meeting of the
\"new\" NYRA and pointing out that the quality of NY racing and the condition of the
downstate facilities are both causes for concern and need to be addressed
immediately. None of the Genting gelt has gone in to improving AQ, and the
additional purse money generated by the Racino has not resulted in an improved
racing product.
Have a vision of Rick B. not finding a comfy spot to set up camp at SA, throwing up
his arms and grabbing a surfboard or a set of golf clubs. Going to be hard for Rick
B to look up at that mountain range and not miss Hawthorne.
2012 ends for me at AQ on Saturday and 2013 begins on \"calendar day\" next Tuesday.
