Calder has been a cess pool for some time.Owned by CDI, revenue/profit trump all else.Calder Summit of Speed boycotted for several years by two top NY trainers for that reason, not the ship.

\"Stacking\"old news and a model for most high percentage trainers.Couple of venues(NY and Cali) attempting to limit this practice with new regulations.

It certainly is interesting how certain trainers excel wildly in Florida, especailly Gulfstream, and seem to \"cool off\" mysteriously when the meet ends and/ or their horses ship elsewhere. This pattern has been very pronounced the last few years with one top barn that comes to mind; it\'s amazing really when you look at their horses\' performance at GP and then elsewhere. The only thing you can do is expect their horses to do very well at GP and tread cautiously elsewhere. I\'ve been burned rather badly expecting the GP form to hold up while in most cases it hasn\'t. I probably don\'t need to mention the barn as anyone who follows this stuff would know instantly who I\'m talking about. Anyway, thanks for posting this.
