Post by: Lost Cause on November 22, 2012, 09:14:34 AM
How does This One\'s for Phil lose this race?  Willy will take a lot of popularity money but I can\'t find a speed to run with Phil.  X-mas might have come early here at anything over 5/2...
Happy Thanksgiving go make some money

....repole...the bill belichick of owners....

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - While Todd Pletcher's away, owner Mike Repole will play . . . trainer.

Given the green light by Pletcher to give instructions to Javier Castellano on how to ride Caixa Eletronica in Thursday's Fall Highweight at Aqueduct, Repole told Castellano to keep the late-running 7-year-old closer to the pace than he is accustomed.

That strategy worked as Caixa Eletronica zipped past the loose-on-the-lead This Ones for Phil inside the eighth pole en route to a four-length victory in the Grade 3, $150,00 Fall Highweight at Aqueduct. This Ones for Phil was second by 4 1/2 lengths over Mine Over Matter, who stumbled badly at the start. Small Town Talk was fourth followed by Willy Beamin, who was reported by the New York Racing Association to have bled
