When do you use her speed? Ridiculous

I\'m shocked the stewards didn\'t even look at it.

Mildly interesting question TGJB.

But to me, not nearly as important as what happens when a lousy job is done by the track grounds people on a big day.  (see two breeder\'s cups at CD in consecutive years)

The dead rail, anti speed bias turns the races into strangely run events.  50 to the half for questing, while setting the pace in the 5 or 6 path on the second turn?  This horse when 46 going 1 1/4.  Another 25 second first quarter for the \"best\" 3 year old colts in a million dollar race?

Don\'t get me wrong, thrilling stretch duel between My Miss Aurelia and Questing.  But I get NOTHING out of the results today.  Hopefully, the next time these horses run the ground crew will not be asleep at the wheel, the race will be fairly run, with a real pace and a result that isn\'t skewed by wondering what role the track played.

When the horses that ran today at Parx come back with big figures it will be meaningless. Many will get wide ground loss loaded figures.  Every one of those figures will be bloated (geometrically correct, but distorted nonetheless, by the track)

Not for me and a surprise to me that a second tier track would miss an opportunity on their big day to put out a solid product and attract potentially more future action.  I think it is more likely that TGAB picks up a check sooner than I bet Parx again.

Karian was apparently very upset earlier in the day about the track condition. He and some other Trainers complained about how dry it was and it wasnt being watered between races.

Agree Jimbo on the 3rd rate nature of.all this. Good job by Steve on MMA of bejng patient with his Filly. Figure aside not sure what to make of Questing after her two previous races. One thing for sure if that had been Pat Day and Wayne Lukas and Ladys Secret....about a 1/3 of the way into turn they would have opened up by about 3. Not sit wait and lock boots all the way down the lane.....

Head on replay suggests Questing may have come down for leaning out all over MMA. Hard to think the race took much out of either Filly since they only \"ran\" the last 1/8th or so.Surface a joke,Mickey mouse Parx on slot subsidy life support, owners of gaming co view racing as a necessary evil and run it that way compared to casino.

Poor tactical ride by Ortiz once he got loose with no pressure, might be taken off for BC.

Jim said it,fig will be backed into and saved by ground. Both very tough 3 yr olds.Beyer had Questing regressing 10 points to a 96, a TG 2 before adjusting for weight/ground.

Jimbo,

It is obvious that you do not know Ed Sehon. When it comes to picking up checks, he could out wait the Pope.

Jimbo-- agree, something like this shouldn\'t happen at all, let alone on a big day. Can\'t think of another major sport that would let results be determined by avoidavle conditions.

Having said that, there will a lot of interesting bet-backs off the dead rail.

She ran a 50 half at 1 1/16 and still got run down....MMA has more than enough speed to stick with her if she went faster earlier..it looks like she just got beat by a better horse today..it\'s not like she got run down by a piece of garbage..that horse is the undefeated juvenile champ..
